George grew up in Jackson and attended Murrah High School. He graduated from the University of Mississippi summa cum laude and was elected to the Ole Miss Hall of Fame. He graduated from the University of Virginia Law School and clerked for Chief Justice Robert Gillespie of the Mississippi Supreme Court before joining the law firm of Heidelberg and Woodliff. He practiced law for seventeen years as a trial lawyer and served as managing partner of the firm.
Through a series of extraordinary dreams he received a call to the priesthood and studied theology at Oxford University, England. He served as chaplain at Mississippi State University before answering a call be be rector of Trinity Church in Yazoo City.
George is married to Jill Woodliff who is a pathologist and is trained in healing prayer. She is also an intercessor on the internet. They have three daughters - Lauren, Anna Rose, and Elizabeth.
